Sending review invites via text and email is a quick and effective way to gather customer feedback. This guide walks you through the new and user-friendly steps to send invites directly from Unify Reviews, helping you generate more reviews with ease.
Default Text and Email Request
When logged into your Unify Reviews dashboard on a computer, you’ll find the Send Invite button on the left-hand side of the screen.
Clicking the Send Invite button will open the Send Invite window. You can search for your customer’s name, or click Add Contact if their information hasn’t been added to the system yet.

Now for the fun part — once your customer’s information is added, you’ll unlock several helpful features in this section. First, you can edit the contact if you need to update any details such as adding a phone number or correcting a name.
To generate a text and email review request, you can click the View button to use the Default Templates in the system.
Note: Before sending, you can also preview the final message by clicking the Preview button. If you need to update your business details like your company name, phone number, or address click the Shortcodes button to edit that information before the message goes out. |
Once you are all set, simply select the channel you’d like to send the invite through — we recommend choosing both SMS and Email for the best results. When everything looks good, click Send and you're done!
Custom Text and Email Request
Want to personalize the message? Simply check the Customize Message option. This will open a text box where you can write your own content or use the Customize with AI feature to help you craft the message.
When you click Customize with AI, a new window will appear asking for a few details to generate a tailored message — like your company representative’s name, the service provided, and your preferred tone of content. Once completed, just hit Generate Content.
When you're ready, choose your preferred delivery method. Again, we recommend selecting both SMS and Email for maximum reach. Then hit Send, and you're all set!
Negative Review Mitigation Process Flow
As soon as the text and email invites have been sent out, your customer will automatically receive a text message and an email inviting them to write a review for you using the Customer Review Link attached to the message. When they click on this, they will be taken to the Review Landing Page such as the one shown below.
If the customer answers the survey question by clicking ‘YES’ we will direct them to your Google profile. You can also add other review sources you wish to set up in the system such as BBB, Yelp, Facebook and more in the Management section! If the customer responds with ‘No’, we redirect them to our Negative Feedback Form, where they can share what went wrong and how their experience can be improved.
You can enable a customizable, automatic response to this feedback so that your customers know that they are heard. Set the automatic reply through these simple steps.
This approach is designed to transform your customers’ negative feedback into constructive insights aimed at changing any unpleasant situation and ultimately, their opinion about your business.
Text and Email Invites from the Mobile App
Sending out the Invite form is a quick and easy process that you can do anytime with your mobile app.
Login from your mobile app then go to the Reviews Page using the hamburger button at the top right corner, clicking on the Reviews ✩ tab, or simply sliding up the gray bar found at the bottom of the page.
If you chose the hamburger button or the gray bar at the bottom, you need to click on the Send Invite tab.
But if you went inside the Reviews section, you should click on the mail icon found at the top right section of the screen. In case you manage multiple locations, ensure you select the correct one by using the Location dropdown menu.
You are now ready to quickly fill out the form.
After you hit the Send button, your customer will immediately receive an SMS or email with your Review Link, which will take them to the Review Landing Page where they can easily share their feedback.
Generate a QR Code from Your Computer
Never miss an opportunity to collect a review while you're out in the field! Simply download and share our QR code with your customers, allowing them to quickly access your Review Landing Page. This method lets you gather reviews on the spot!
To access the QR code, you must be a Company Manager. Open the Unify Reviews dashboard by clicking on the button under the Unify Review from the homepage or the Reviews ✩ tab on the main navigation bar. Then click on the Management tab. Download the QR code and you’re set!
Get the QR Code in the Mobile App
You can also find the QR code from the mobile app. Whether you click on the hamburger icon or slide up the gray bar at the bottom of the page, you can find the QR code readily available.
You are now ready to generate the QR Code! In case you have more than one location registered in the system, don’t forget to select the right one first.
Shorten Review Link
Grab every chance to invite your customers to write reviews. You can use the Shorten Review Link to give your customers a quick and convenient way to access the Review Landing Page. Simply copy and paste the link into your email signature so it’s always accessible, or send it directly via text or chat.

Shorten Review Link for Desktop Users
This link is available from the Management tab as shown here. Please note that access is only available to Company Managers.
Shorten Review Link in the Mobile Version
From your mobile app, go to the Reviews section. Click on the Settings Icon and go to the Shorten Review Link button. Copy the link from the textbox and share it with your customers. You can also hyperlink this from your emails to invite people to leave a review.
Bulk Invites
Need to send out review requests to a group but don’t have the time? No worries—we’ve got you covered! With Unify Reviews, you can send Bulk Review Invites from your computer for up to 100 customers per day.
To get started, open the Unify Reviews dashboard by selecting the Reviews ✩ tab in the main navigation bar. Then, click on the Invites tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Bulk Invites section.
Click on the Create Group button and start by typing in the Label Name. Then, choose whether to upload the list using a CSV file or add it manually.
Whether uploading a file or entering customer information manually, the format must be the same (Name, Email Address, or Phone Number only) as shown here.
